Does it look like I'm just writing about what grinds my confidence into dust? ๐ It's true...but also I hear this sentiment from LOTS of people! Side note - People with serious soft + hard skills say this to themselves (although it's usually about their highly-lucrative soft skills) You may think your hard skills (like web design, proofreading, bookkeeping, graphic design, copywriting, etc) are the big important skills. They are....but it's your soft (and usually invisible to you) skills that make people choose you.... And those soft skills keep them coming back for more.... AND (one last and ๐) they're WHY people are willing to pay you more than another person who does what you do (like a bookkeeper or a graphic designer). It doesn't matter what people pay you to do either.... No matter what it is, your "secret sauce" is a soft skill (that you may be completely unaware of...or you think it's "normal) ๐ I'm saying this with all the compassion in my heart... THAT'S A BIG FAT LIE Whatever your secret sauce is... It isn't normal. Far from it. And ALL THIS is why I will NEVER get off my soap box about getting mentoring (or coaching or working with someone to guide you in your career or business). It's WHY I talk about programs that include coaching + mentoring A LOT You may need someone else to see it... Like the really juicy stuff that you're so good at (it's like breathing for you + you have no idea how valuable it is). You may even be completely unaware of it (but at least some other people can see it).
