Do you fit into one of these?

Hi Reader

Have you noticed how most work-from-home careers usually fall into 4 categories?

The frustrating part is when you don't fit perfectly into one category - maybe you fit halfway into two different ones! 🫀

βœ… It can also mean you've got a rare combination of skills.

And maybe with a little experience and training, you'll create something new πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°

That's what happened to me...I have a weird mix of skills and natural talents that didn't make sense to me when I was younger...

🫀 It doesn't help when you don't know anyone with those same skills who are kicking butt to give you some guidance either.

πŸ’‘That's why we love to sit down with people who've done it themselves. Different personalities. Different family situations. And completely different careers.

And we keep checking up on them to see how things are going - to update them! 😊

Check out these 2 career categories:

You already know they pay well, right?

Good to know: Everyone we've interviewed got started pretty quick 😲 usually less than 6 months 😲 and earns more than their former job + they usually work fewer hours most of the time.

Typical pay: $33K and $125K according to Glassdoor with an average of $60K (and you may need a few years to reach the higher level as an employee).

But entrepreneurs in these fields usually do much better...

I bet you've heard this category doesn't pay well, but that's not true...

Good to know: This one's perfect for someone with a crazy schedule. Because no one cares when you do your work.

So moms usually love it.

Typical pay: It depends on the specific type of work, but most of them pay much more than you'd expect...

😲Proofreaders for example can make $43K a year in their first year or two. Once they get more experience or specialize in legal proofreading, they can earn from $51K to $71K (or more)

πŸ‘‰ Read in-depth interviews with scopists, proofreaders, freelance writers, transcriptionists & other word workers

Gotta weird combination of skills and talents?
Tell me about it! 😊

Happy reading,
Robin

How do you feel about setting goals? I used to hate them because I felt like a total failure every time I missed them - which happens when you're learning a new skill or starting a new business, right? Maybe you're like me and it gets harder to set a new goal because "what's the use?!?" "Is this ever going to get better?" Thankfully I've had a ton of coaching on this + so many compassionate professionals showing me how it's done ⬇️⬇️⬇️ πŸ‘‰ They publicly set goals & owned up to what happened...

Ever sit in front of your computer...or in front of your future...thinking "GAAH! C'mon brain! Why are you so (frustrating personal flaw driving you nuts)! We gotta figure this out so I can (fill in that thing that really matters to you)! β›” Your brain could be going in a million different directions trying to figure out how you could earn a buck or β›” You've stuck or lost or totally confused as you try to find your way with not enough help after you've kinda picked a direction Been there. Done...

Hi Reader Were you surprised by my last email? Yeah, I've got personal war stories - friends, family, my own...⬇️ Re-reviewing the Fully Booked VA program got me thinking about when I've needed support in my life the most (and what it's done for me) I've got a bad self-doubt habit whenever I do something really new And sometimes it's just bigger than me and I need someone on the outside who can see through my crap - with the skills to kindly kick my butt and get me moving forward again...
